The therapeutic benefits of Painting & Sipping
We bring people together to create art.
We believe art is for EVERYONE!!
Kelly LaCava - Owner/Artist
Kelly has been sharing her love for art with the world through art entertainment events since 2012. Kelly was first introduced to the fabulous combo of painting and sipping in Utah where she was a manager & instructor at a popular paint & sip business with studios in Park City & Salt Lake City. Kelly moved to Fayetteville, West Virginia in 2016 and began teaching art classes for the Fayetteville Arts Coalition, a local nonprofit in the community, to both adults and children. A few years later in 2018, Kelly began her own business, Wild and Wonderful Paint Parties. She has since helped thousands of delighted participants of all ages craft their own works of art through public painting classes, corporate team building events, birthday and bachelorette parties, and youth summer camps all around West Virginia. Kelly is a self taught artist with a chemistry background, who came to art as a means of stress relief and introspection while she discovered that a career as a full time chemist wasn't for her. Kelly's favorite thing about teaching art classes is helping others go through the same stress relief and personal learning process that she so enjoys- along with good company, great music, a paint brush in one hand & a glass of wine in other.
Macy Shelton - Artist/Instructor
Macy has been with Wild & Wonderful Paint Parties since 2022 and has dabbled in different art modalities since childhood: painting, drawing, ceramics, and textiles. She says "instructing for Wild & Wonderful Paint Parties combines my love of art with my teaching experience, as I have a bachelor's degree in outdoor instruction from Western Carolina University. I currently reside in Fayetteville, West Virginia where I enjoy Rock Climbing, Rug Tufting, and Oil Painting."
Katie Gruendler - Artist/Instructor
Katie moved to West Virginia to pursue fine arts at West Virginia University, as well as explore the states natural beauty. She is an avid rock climber, hiker, skier, and currently works as a whitewater raft guide on the New River. She has been a potter for the past 4 years. Katie says moving to WV has allowed her to develop artistically and explore new methods of creating, as well as gain a greater appreciation for the outdoors. She has found an incredible sense of community here and cannot imagine living anywhere else!
Marge Lingenfelter - Artist/Instructor
Marge is a painter and arts enjoyer originally from the Midwest. She moved to West Virginia in 2022 from Richmond, Virginia where she earned a degree in Biology. Her favorite activities are cooking, playing music, teaching, exploring outside, finding bugs, and painting! Her work has been shown at Love Hope Arts Gallery and you might have seen her art on a flyer for square dancing in Fayetteville. She enjoys working with beginners and helping people connect with their artistic selves, to allow them the free-flowing expression of feelings and joy of creation she finds in making her own art.
Maggie Swager - Artist/Instructor
Maggie's creative roots run deep having been raised on a small farm just 30 minutes outside the New River Gorge National Park. Her mother an artist, father a musician/jack of all trades, placed Maggie in what she considers to be a fortunate superposition. Over the years her shared passions for music, art, and outdoor industry continues to bestow endless benefits to finding her zen in a not so zen world. By joining our team, Maggie looks forward to helping others channel long lost methods of stress relief, expanding her teaching skills, not to mention experiencing fulfillment through fellowship. Her motto- "I am, you are, we ALL are art!"
